361/365 In the Dark...a day late...

I would have posted last night, but our power went out due to bad weather (love winters in Fargo).  We didn't get it back until this morning...about 12 hours with no heat.  Nothing better than waking up to a house with the temperature of 53 degrees!  YUCK.
At least we had some things to do, I read on my Nook and Daniel read on his NookColor, and Mom read on her Nook, and Shay played Angry Birds on her phone!

Coming out of Barnes and Noble tonight, there was a lone black leather glove laying in the slush.

I love my new Starbucks glass from Lonni and family.  I use it every day.

I am trying to find the perfect iPod case.  So far, nothing strikes my fancy.  I sewed up a little pouch to carry it around in for the time being.

While we were hanging out at Barnes and Noble, a girl in a panda hat sat down across from us.  As my nephew Carson would say...cuuuutttteee!

Spent part of Christmas Day with Daniel's mom and stepdad. It was so relaxing sitting by the fire.

I started the process of adding music to my iTunes Library.  Here are just a few that I have done already.

I took a picture with my iPod Touch and emailed to myself.  Not great, but better than nothing.  One of my purple pillows on my bed.

 

352/365 Puppies and Apps Oh MY!

I spent most of the night curled up with my new iPod and the puppies.  They were all curled up in the bed with me.

Here are my two favorite apps so far.  Angry Birds and How to Cook Everything.  Love them both!

Daniel gave me one of my Christmas presents early with absolutely, definitely, not one little peep from me!  LOL  My new iPod touch, love it so far!  :-)

I made a Christmas card for Daniel's sister today.  I like how it turned out!

Those that know me, know I am sucker for anything that says "new" on the package.  While food shopping today, I ran across this Reese's Minis.  They are just the cutest little peanut butter cups in a bag like M&Ms.  Too cute!

I received my shipment of Greek Olives from Wine Woot.  They are very yummy!  Now, to find lots of olive recipes!  :-)

346/365 It's Beginning to look a lot like Craftsmas!

I have just been a crafty bee lately.  Tonight I made a pillow out of a placemat and a picture holder out of an ornament.  These are secret santa gifts for at work!  I love it!  On Friday I will post a picture of all my goodies I have received.

345/365 C is for Cookies...good enough to EAT!

I started some baking tonight, taking a break from sewing. I made my yummy Oatmeal Cinnamon Chip and some Peanut Butter cookies. 

I also attempted to use my new Wilson Christmas shapes pan.  They turned out pretty cute.  I will have to try other cookie recipes or even cake batter with the pan.

Me in my cute apron my nephew Chance made for me a couple years ago.  He sewed it all by himself!  I think he was twelve at the time.  What a great kid!

343/365 Hey Bag Lady!

I worked on my mom's winter bag today.  I finally had to give up and I am facing some challenges.  I will have to try and figure it out!  I am liking it so far.

Also, note to self, don't leave pants in the middle of the floor!  Sophie found herself a nice little bed.  When I came in from outside and changed, I just left my pants and shirt on the floor (don't judge, I was going to gather up and do laundry so there).  :-)

 

342/365 Sew what's new

I was a busy little bee today.  I shopped for the first part of the day, then spent the late afternoon and evening, playing with my nephews and sewing.  I have the front panel of Carson's quilt done. Look at those corners.  I am getting better!  LOL

 I only have the binding on his road/train track mat to complete.

I made a little Christmas pillow for Chloe's dolls.

Sophie and Rafferty just hung out.  Rafferty likes his new bed and Sophie curled up in Dustin's blanket.  His blanket sure is popular!  :-)

341/365 My Baby Brother's Blanket

I made my brother Dustin a huge baby blanket for Christmas.  This was my first attempt at making a quilt (besides my little table runner).  I used baby flannel.  It turned out pretty cute.  I want to make one for myself it is so cozy.  My little nephew Carson just loves it!

I doubled numbers on my blog on the following dates:  September 16 and October 30.  It should have been 256 but I numbered it 255, so I am correcting my numbers with this post.  :-) Cause I am not going back to re-number all my posts since then!  LOL  I gave up checking to see if I made any other mistakes. Oh well!

I got my new issue of Clean Eating today.  Love this magazine.

I made Daniel a flannel scarf.  It turned out pretty good.  He picked out the fabric himself.

I worked on Carson's Christmas present.  I am making him a garage version of this dollhouse.  So far it is looking cute.

Lonni brought over her first bin of baby goodies for a friend.  So now, not only do I have piles of my own stuff around the house, I have additional piles!  LOL  At least this stuff is cute!  :-)

333/365 Winner Winner Chicken Dinner!

I made a baked manicotti for dinner tonight.  It was wonderful, and pretty easy, lots of dishes to do, but worth it, right Daniel? :-) 

I saw the recipe on Cook's Country TV on PBS that I TIVO, you can find the recipe here. 
The sauce - 

 Rolling the manicotti, using lasagna noodles instead of manicotti tubes, so much easier!

The end result...delicious!

330/365 Oh Christmas Tree

Camden and I decorated the little Christmas tree tonight.  It looks pretty cute.

I hung my favorite ornament, my little Pittsburgh Penguin hockey player that I got when I lived in Pittsburgh many years ago.

It is a blurry picture, but this morning the lights were reflecting off the ice crystals in the air (or something like that) and the different colored stripes of light were amazing!
