329/365 It's Beginning to look a lot like Christmas

I hauled the Christmas decorations in from the garage last night.  It isn't Christmas without the tacky singing trees/snowmen/snowtrees!  :-)

The Original Singing Tree, lisp and all.  Merry Christhmasth everybody! LOL
And what do you get when you cross a snowman and a Christmas tree?  A Snowtree!

328/365 On the First Day of Cookies...my true love gave to me

Today is the first day of the 12 Days of Cookies from Food Network.  Today was Paula Deen's Chocolate Gooey Butter Cookies.

They were so easy and so yummy!

327/365 It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas!

Camden and I made a couple decorations for the Christmas tree.  He got to sew for the first time, and he didn't stab me with the needle, so all is good!  :-)

326/365 Might as well face it, I'm addicted to Fabric!

I ran out tonight and bought fabric for my nephew Carson's blanket, since he loves the blanket I made for my brother so much.

Also, here is a picture of Sophie sleeping, she looks broken the way she lays her head like that.  I don't know how that can be comfortable.

325/365 Pardcast-a-thon 2010

Comedian Jimmy Pardo is hosting his second annual Pardcast-a-thon to raise money for Smile Train.  It is going on from 6 pm PST - 6 am PST live on his website if you are into comedy!  Too bad I am sick and will not make it through the night.  Oh well, good thing we can buy the show for even more money to go to Smile Train.

Rafferty and Sophie were thankful this Thanksgiving for Carson.  He gave them many treats today while they were over to celebrate Thanksgiving.

I made some caramel rolls tonight.  They turned out really good for my first attempt at caramel rolls.  :-)

321/365 Walking in a Winter Wonderland

Our luck has run out.  We finally got snow today, lots and lots of snow.  The band aid has been ripped off and winter is upon us.  This is our backyard.

320/365 Pa in his Cap

I made Daniel a fleece hat to wear at night when his head gets cold, we live in an old house and our bed faces a wall with a window that can get pretty chilly when the temperature falls below freezing.  Pretty good for my first time on hats.  Here he is sleeping in his hat to keep his head warm.

I also tried my hand at crocheting.  Not too bad, the last time I did any crochet, was back in sixth grade when my Grandma Marion taught me how.

Daniel also created a giant mine sweeper on his computer.  I can't believe how big his game was.  His hand slipped and he accidentally lost.  Sorry Daniel, but I am impressed with how far you got.

317/365 The Last Colors of Warm Weather

The chalk that the boys play with when it is nice out has been sitting on the table.  The colors remind me of warmer weather.  Sadly, I don't think they will be using it for several months, so it is time to put it away for the winter.

Here is Chloe's walker, I had to go and pick it up and Mom put it on a bus to Miles City.  It is so tiny.  Also, for those that saw the basket yesterday, we got a high bid of $75 for our basket.  YEAH!

314/365 A Tisket a Tasket a United Way Gift Basket

My team at work is donating a basket for an auction to raise money for United Way.  It turned out pretty nice. Hopefully the team likes the finished product (Thanks Mom)!   I know I will be bidding on it!  :-)

Sophie and Rafferty (and JJ) when he was here, love this little toys I bought them for Halloween.  They are just too cute.  Sophie couldn't even wait for me to get the picture, she kept trying to steal the toy.

311/365 Little Lady's Leg

Chloe got back from Mayo today.  They are heading home tomorrow.  She is hooked up to her IV.  The little bottle is the IV in a balloon, so she doesn't need a big bag.

The brace she will need to wear for the next several months.

I love Stamart, it is our local truck stop.  It has been the best store that was built near us EVER!

Sophie crawled up on the bed and snuggled into the covers.  She is so cute.

We bought Camden and Carson some dress up stuff from the after Halloween sales. 

305/365 Family

Dustin, Sarita and Chloe (and JJ too) came to Fargo on their way to Mayo Clinic for Chloe's leg.  Hopefully all goes well and they can figure out what the growth is.

We are going to keep JJ for them.  It is Dustin and Sartia's anniversary, so I grilled steak and chicken.  We also had mashed potatoes, peas, and garlic bread, per Dustin's request.  I was very impressed with the steak from John and Wayne's Meats.

Here is Chloe playing her DSi, and JJ cuddling down to go to sleep.  He sure has gotten big.

304/365 Cords

We spent the evening at Barnes and Noble, decompressing from work and working like slaves to our Nanowrimo novels.  My goal was 6000 words and I am about 800 shy, so not too shabby!

I love the tree in our backyard.  Well really, the neighbor's yard, but the shape of it against the sky is always so striking to me.  I know I have posted a few pictures of it, but it is something I really enjoy looking at.

302/365 Her Pile

Sophie loves to gather all her things, (and my slippers) and haul them all to the living room.  Everyday when I get home, my slippers are in the living room if I haven't hid them from her. In the picture below, she has three of my slippers by her pile of toys.  This doesn't count the other two slippers on the other side of the room! 

301/365 Carson's Altar

Carson loves to play with the boxes of Partylite candles. He opens all the boxes and lines them up on the dog steps in the living room.  Daniel calls it Carson's altar.
