240/365 Last Day of August

Daniel went and got a nice hair cut today after work.

I spent the night making my "fall trees" bag. I am pretty happy with it.  Not perfect, but since I didn't really have a plan and went with the flow, I am pretty happy.  My first attempt at "quilting" a bag!  :-)

238/365 Giant Marshmellows!!

I bought giant marshmellows for mom and Camden today.  They are huge!  I bet they make tasty s'mores!

237/365 Frapps R Us

Okay, it is really Sunday due to the time, but I am just heading to bed and remembered I needed to post my picture.  I am calling it good!  :-)

We sat at Barnes and Noble for a couple hours tonight drinking frapps and browsing magazines.  Daniel looks at current events, drawing, and music magazines.  I tend to look at cooking, card/scrapbook, sewing/quilting, and gardening magazines.  I don't think I can pick up any more hobbies, there is only so many magazines I can get to.

236/365 Yippee!

A book I wasn't expecting out until Tuesday was on the shelf at Barnes and Noble tonight.  I am sucker (pun intended) for a vampire romance book!  YEAH!

235/365 Foiled Again

On the way home from work tonight, I saw a car with a mohawk.  YES, you read that right, a car with a MOHAWK.  I tried to get a picture and this is what I caught on film.

Damn blue car!!  But know this, somewhere in Fargo is a VW Beetle with a mohawk.

234/365 Super Blue

Most of the products my dad found were nothing that I would want to use.  But I have to say that his love of Super Blue is something I can get behind 100%.  I love the stuff.  Doesn't burn like icy hot or any of the other rubs.  No staining of my clothing.  Just all around good muscle rub.

I also just love the look on Carson's face in this picture.  I didn't take it today, but had to post it.

232/365 A Little Artist

Carson was visiting tonight while Lonni and Dan took Camden to open house at school and football practice.  He drew some artwork with markers. I believe this might be his first works!

231/365 More Fabric

I bought myself some fabric while I was in Miles City.  I am going to make Sarita a tote bag out of the peace sign fabric, Lonni a tote bag out of the shoe/purse fabric, and myself a tote bag out of the fall tree fabric.  I just loved them.

230/365 August 21 post - they always get me with new

I am a sucker for anything "new".  I found this Twix Java while in Chicago and also found one in Dickinson when we were on the way to Montana.

227/365 August 18 post

Hopefully, I will get caught up on my posting.  I am home now and hopefully, things will start to get back to normal.  We are going through Dad's stuff to get everything in order.  Sigh...

Here is the windshield covered in bugs this is just from Bismarck to Jamestown.  We had to stop as we were not able to see, it was GROSS.

Here is my eye, it still hurts and is swollen.  Who knew a bee sting could be so bad.

226/365 August 17 post

My nephew Carson woke up rocking some great bed head!  I love it!

My nephew Calan's dog Timber had to be put to sleep due to cancer.  Here is the last picture I took of him before they left for the vet.  The kids were digging a hole and Timber enjoyed the cool spot in the morning sunlight.

We will miss you Timber.

224/365 August 15

Tonight I was stung by a bee on my face.  It flew into my glasses and got caught between my glasses and my face.  Sigh, my eye and cheek hurt so much.  The stinger got caught in my cheek.  Ouch!!!

Shay and Lucas were trying to fix my broken glasses while I iced my eye and cheek. Sadly, we had to crazy glue them back together.  First thing when I get back to Fargo, new eyeglasses.

Here was my original picture for today......

My dad passed away this morning after a battle with cancer.  I didn't take these pictures (well, some of them, but not all), but they are some of my favorites of him.

We will miss you Dad.

218/365 Dad and Cake

I sat at the hospital with Dad for a couple hours tonight, he was restless the first hour or so, but then his medicine kicked in and he slept soundly.  I hope he is strong enough to head to Montana tomorrow.

Here is he resting nicely in the hospital.

Sarita also bought a cake for Caid and I as our birthdays are the 10th (mine) and the 13th (Caid's).  Happy Birthday to us!!!

217/365 Waiting (Sunday, August 8 pictures)

Dad wasn't feeling well this morning when Dustin and family were getting ready to take off for Montana.  He ended up at Meritcare/Sanford with difficulty breathing and chest pains.  He doesn't have much time left, so they are working to get him strong enough to make it back to Montana since that is where he wants to go.  I hope he makes it there.

Here are some pictures from the day. Here are the grandkids being so good when we were running back and forth to the hospital.

Grandma Linda took Chloe to get nails since she wanted to do her nails.  She did such a great job.

We stopped at the mall to get a new phone for Dustin since his was broken.  This is a statue at the Roger Maris museum.  What the HECK????!!!!!

216/365 On the road (Saturday, August 7)

We drove to Eau Claire, WI and stayed the night at the Ramada. We finally arrived in Fargo.  Dustin and Caid (who came from Montana) curled up on the couch and napped.

Dustin helped Dad have some ice cream.  I love this picture.  the soft side of Dustin.  One of the things my dad asked when we were in Chicago, he wanted to see his son.  I am glad we were able to get back in time.
