177/365 For Shay and Lucas

Mom and the gang are going to Colorado to see Shay and Lucas.  Mom is taking them 16 bags of Giants Sunflower seeds, they just cannot get enough of them, and they do not sell them in Colorado.  It is pretty crazy.

176/365 Hair

I was laying in bed watching Last Comic Standing, when I got up, my hair was a little crazy.

175/365 Dryer issues

Our dryer is having issues and Ed took it all apart to find the switch/fuse/whatever you call it that is wrong with it.  Sadly, the part won't be in until Tuesday, so I have to go to the laundromat to do a couple loads of clothes to get us through to Wednesday.  UGH!!

174/365 Flowers

These flowers were outside Subway today.  They look like really tall dandelions, I think they might be Smooth Hawksbeard or Annual Sowthistle.  But it was weird seeing them.  

173/365 - Nephew Allen

Daniel's sister and nephew are visiting from Arkansas.  His little nephew, who I believe, the last time I saw him, he was about 17 years old, is now a young man of 23.  He is crashing at our house to do some bonding with Daniel...right guys!  LOL  Really, just to hang out and watch TV with Daniel truth be told!

I was a slacker and didn't take any pictures today, but I really liked the lighting on this bunny picture from a couple days ago.

171/365 CSA

We joined a CSA (Community Supported Agriculture) this year.  This was our bounty this week, lettuce, peas, radishes, onions, and a cucumber.

I can't wait until we start getting corn and beans!  Yummy!

170/365 Little Bunnies

I couldn't remember if I posted pictures of these little bunnies before or not, and I was too lazy to go back through my pictures.  We mowed the yard today and the little bunnies were out since Carson was here earlier and was playing with them.

168/365 - Pita Puffiness

I was reading through the King Arthur blog and ran across this Pita recipe.  I decided that I would give it a try.  I was so happy, my pita's puffed up and turned out wonderful!  I cooked them one at a time, I may try to cook more each time, but I wanted to test the oven first to see how it heated at such a high heat.

Here is one baking, see how puffy it is....woo hoo!

I bought one of these Luna bars just to try, and I love them.  They are my new favorite bar to snack on. 

166/365 Pile of Cough Drops

I have been feeling a little under the weather, my throat has been sore the past couple of days, today, I had to break down and get some drops to help sooth my throat.

163/365 - Tea for me please

I have given up soda.  This will be one month since I was a regular pop drinker.  I have had about half a can each week.  Slowly I will stop it all together, but it still calls to me. 

Every day I make cold brewed ice tea (Tazo Zen).  I use my water bottle from Mom and take it to work every day.  It is very yummy!

162/365 - My Dirty Little Secret

I love sunflower seeds!  Daniel thinks it is a gross habit, but I cannot help myself, I just love them.  I try to not do it too much, but for some reason, I have been hooked on them more lately - maybe it is a summertime thing.  We finished off the last bag, and I wasn't going to buy another, but sadly, at the gas station they were on sale, and I just couldn't resist.

I totally forgot to take a picture yesterday and post it.  Oh well, I forgive myself!  :-)

Daniel and I went to Barnes and Noble and hung out for a little while today.  It was nice to get out and do something we love.  It has been a long time baby!

160/365 Strawberry Fields Forever

Here are the strawberries I was able to pick out of the garden tonight after work.  There were about 10 that I threw out because they were over ripe and not looking good.  Hopefully the birds will eat them.

159/365 In the Pink

I love the color pink.  And I love my little pink phone.  The only thing that would make it better, if it was a pink iPhone.  I think I would love all the apps available for the iPhone, but sadly, iPhones don't come in pink, and you can't get an iPhone around here.  Dang you AT&T!!

158/365 - The Burger

My ground turkey wasn't thawed out for dinner tonight, dang it anyhow!  We decided to try 5 Guys Burger and forget salad for one night.

An anonymous source says that this person couldn't even fit the burger in her mouth - oh, the scandal.

I sat out in the backyard after work and read a little bit.  Rafferty and Sophie were busy walking around the yard checking things out.

Went to lunch with Jill and her girls after a great card class.  I love card classes, I need to do those more often!

I made some yummy homemade chocolate tonight, all it is is coconut oil, cocoa powder (from starbucks), and sugar free maple syrup.  It is so yummy.

Jessica brought a thank you cake into work today today to say thanks for the help!  It was a yummy little break from work!  Thanks Jessica!

151/365 Tortellini Soup

We received our first CSA delivery today.  I made homemade soup - Tortellini Soup, with the spinach we received.  Very yummy!  I can't wait to eat salads for the rest of the week!
