118/365 - WHAT??

Daniel has a history with my nephews and niece.  They don't like him until they reach about four, when they start getting into video games and such, except for Chloe who still has some issues with him.  But at least she will be in the same room and has talked to him a couple times.

We are not sure if it is because we are all pastey white and he is black hair and dark skin or what, but along comes little Carson, who LOVES Daniel.  And the funny thing is Daniel doesn't know what to do with him!  Tonight they were over and Carson had so much fun climbing on Daniel.  Too cute!

117/365 - Good news

The tumor in Bella's nose isn't cancer!  Woo hoo, now hopefully with medicine, we can get it to shrink and she will not have to have surgery.

She is still wheezing quite a bit, but hopefully, it will clear up.

Here is a picture (the best that I could do) of her little nose.  You can just see the swelling and bloodiness.

We put a comforter on the floor, since she currently can't get on the bed since she is still weak, but she won't lay on it, but Sophie thinks it is her bed.

I tried to get a good picture of Rafferty, but anytime I try and take pictures of him, he jumps and barks like crazy, he always gets a treat when I take his picture, so now he is a brat when I try!  But I do love this picture, it looks like he is sticking his tongue out.

116/365 Little B

Bella went in today for testing on her tumor.  We went and picked her up, she was still woozy from the drugs.  They had to shave a spot on each leg when they had to put her under anesthesia.  We will find out in a few days if it is cancer or not.

We had to lift her into the car and pull her out of the car. And help carry her up the stairs.  She is a big girl.  She has lost about two pounds since Thurday, not good.  Keep your fingers crossed for good news for our little girl.

115/365 My name is Rhea, and I am an addict...

I love lipbalm.  Burt's Bees is my most favorite, but I love all kinds.  If I see a new brand I have never tried, I have to buy it.  These are just a few I have at work.  I think I have about six in my purse and at least one in the car at all times.  You can never have too many!

114/365 Waiting

Waiting for Daniel to come out of the comic book shop, I get to look at the lovely fake flowers.

113/365 Little Baby Bird?

There was a little baby squirrel out on the birdhouse today.  I think they are so cute when they sit on the side of the house like that.  The older ones sit on the roof and hang over to eat.

112/365 The Food Revolution

I don't know if you watched Jamie Oliver's Food Revolution on ABC, but it was great.  I know we are working to eat more organic and eat local foods, fruits and veggies.  It is a great show and he has a cookbook that has really simple but tasty recipes.  His only request in the front of the book is to try at least one recipe from each section and then pass on the recipes to your family and friends.

You can sign the petition to help get better food into our American school system.  It is crazy what passes as nutrition at schools!

Besides the petition, he has wonderful recipes and videos you can watch.  Enjoy!

111/365 Sweet Bella

This is our sweet little Bella, resting after a stressful day.  Poor girl.  She has a tumor in her nose, and Tuesday she goes in to see if it is cancer or not.  She was not happy being at the vet or them touching her nose.

110/365 Minty Fresh

The mint patch is growing like crazy with all the warm weather we have been having.

Here is a view of the patch and some of the mints I have:

Apple Mint (or it could be Pineapple Mint)

Mountain Mint

Chocolate Mint

And I took this picture by mistake, but I like how it turned out.

109/365 - TBR

This is part of Daniel's books to be read pile.  I accidentally knock it over at least once a week.

108/365 - Watchful Eye

Rafferty sits and waits for something to drop when Mom is eating, ever hopeful that she will give him a treat.

107/365 More Flowers and stick up hair

I should be tired of taking pictures of the garden, but I just love watching the flowers bloom and how much it changes day to day.

The full view.
Up close.

My favorite tulips.

I am not sure what these are growing in the flower bed, they look like a spider plant, but I am just not sure how they got here. Don't mind the weeds, I haven't weeded yet.

The butterfly garden I planted yesterday.  I can't wait to see what grows.

Finally, Daniel had a stick up hair that made me laugh!  :-)

106/365 - Little Squirrel

This squirrel was eating at the bird feeder today, he would look at me as I took pictures and then pretty much ignored me.

105/365 - Uninspired

It is late and I am crabby.  Here is a stamp set I really really want, but I am trying to be a good girl and not get them.  I do not need them!  :-)

104/365 - In Bloom

It is always amazing to me how a couple days can make such a difference in blooming flowers.  These were just starting to come out a few days ago, and are now out in all their glory.

103/365 - Bathtub Madonna

Who knew that these even had a name, but I like it, Bathtub Madonna.  I have seen these in several yards around here, and always wondered about them.  I know I am not a religious person, but it seems like a very weird tradition.

All the information I could find, just states that it dates back to European cultures and their outdoor shrines.

I want to know if the first family that plunked the tub in the yard and stuck Mary in it, were they the talk of the neighborhood? Genius or crazy?  LOL

102/365 - Flower Power

As a weekly treat to myself, if I make my walking goal at work, I am buying myself a bouquet of flowers.  Daniel picked these out for me today.  I can't wait to take them to work!  I love pink!

101 /365 Winner Winner Chicken Dinner

I made a new recipe tonight from Jamie Oliver's Food Revolution cookbook.  It is a super simple recipe of garlic, pepper, basil, and diced tomatoes tossed with some pasta.  I added some thinly sliced chicken breast that I cooked, but otherwise I followed his directions and it was so yummy and easy.  Topped with a little Parmesan cheese and it is good to go.

You can find more information at his website.

Pick up a copy of the cookbook and pass it on!

100/365 - 100th Post

My 100th 365 post.  Woo hoo!  I am so excited that I have made it this far!

This is my tulip garden out front.  I have crocus, tulips, daffodils, and hyacinths in the garden.

Okay, I did my flowers, but my lights looked so cute tonight, I had to add them to the blog too!  I got these at Fleet Farm.  I am not sure exactly where they will go, but I love looking at them.

99/365 - Home Away from Home

Daniel and I love spending time at Barnes and Noble.  We sit in the cafe and drink coffee and browse books and magazines.  We have been there so much, they ask us in the cafe if we want our usual, or usual light.

And the one manager reminds me when I walk in if the sunday papers are running low and I should grab them right away.  I even have her hooked on the star tribune for coupons!  LOL

This is the view from my favorite table.

98/365 - Gardening

I bought some cute little hanging planters to hang from my iron rod in the corner of the garden.  The ones I bought last year were too heavy.  These are perfect so far!  Now if I can get some flowers to grow.

97/365 - Little House in the front yard

It needs a good cleaning, after a winter of abuse, but I love the little bird house we have.

96/365 - Grillin' and Chillin'

I took off the tarp from the grill tonight after work and we grilled some hot dogs and turkey burgers.   Yummy!  I can't wait for more beautiful nights and grilling!
